Build your flyer specification
Select the family, paper, size and finish first. Exact supported combinations show an online total. Other selections carry your complete specification into a quote request; an unverified combination is never charged as a standard package.
Choose light sheets for distribution, heavier papers for a card-like feel or textured stock when the surface is part of the design. Lamination and foil are separate finishes.
Supply a finished PDF, ask for a simple supplied-logo layout or choose an original design from Dan. Your proof is approved before production.
Agree your deadline before ordering. Artwork preparation comes first; the production service and delivery arrangements are confirmed separately.
Flyer help
A flyer is one flat sheet. A folded leaflet gives you separate panels for a longer service list, menu or story. Choose the flat flyer range here, or follow the folded-leaflet link for a folded piece.
Classic flyers cover A7, A6, A5, A4, A3, DL and 105mm, 148mm or 210mm squares. Specialist stocks have their own size lists. The selector changes with the product family so you can see the relevant options.
Yes. Choose Custom-size flyers and enter your finished dimensions: 100–297mm wide and 100–420mm high. The paper, finish and dimensions are checked together before a custom quote is confirmed.
Gsm is paper weight in grams per square metre. A light sheet is easier to distribute in volume; a heavier sheet feels more like a card. Paper bulk and surface also affect how it feels, so gsm alone does not tell the whole story.
For a simple handout, start with 130gsm gloss or silk. Try 170gsm for a more substantial sheet, 250gsm for heavier promotion or 350–450gsm when you want a card-like piece. Uncoated and textured stocks suit a different, more tactile presentation.
Gloss has a reflective surface, silk has a gentler sheen, and uncoated has a natural matte surface. Choose based on the artwork, how the flyer will be used and whether somebody needs to write on it.
Lamination adds a film and changes both the surface and the feel. Matt reduces shine, gloss adds shine, and soft touch has a smoother tactile finish. It is offered only with suitable stocks; ordinary paper flyers do not need it by default.
Uncoated stock is the starting point for handwriting or stamping. Test your intended pen or stamp, particularly if it is essential to the job. Coatings and lamination can affect whether ink dries or adheres.
Yes. The range includes natural uncoated, textured uncoated, uncoated cotton, hemp blend, woven bamboo, recycled and brown kraft choices. Select the relevant family to see its stock list. Colours and surface texture can change how your artwork appears.
The standard brown kraft offer does not include white ink. Areas without printed ink show the brown stock. Ask for advice if your design relies on a white background or very pale colours.
Pearl stock has a pearlescent surface. It can suit invitations or occasion-led print where the paper itself is part of the presentation. It is listed separately from a metallic foil finish.
Foil highlights selected artwork areas on one side. Choose gold, silver, copper, red, holographic, rose gold or white pearl. A separate foil artwork layer is needed; Dan will confirm the correct template and file preparation with you.
Yes. Rounded-corner flyers have their own papers and sizes. Door hangers are 70 × 200mm with a choice of square-cut or rounded edges. Their cut and safe areas must follow the selected product template.
Here they are one synthetic range, using 300gsm Agfa Synaps OM. It is a different material from a laminated paper flyer. Tell Dan about the intended conditions; material resistance is not a promise that printed colour will last indefinitely outside.
Classic flyers start at 25 and extend to 100,000 for supported configurations. Specialist products have different quantity lists. Select the quantity per design, then the number of designs where offered. The summary shows the requested total.
Yes. Choose single-sided or double-sided printing in the selector. Print sides and lamination sides are separate choices; check both in the summary before ordering or requesting a quote.
Where the family supports it, choose the number of designs and the quantity for each design. Multiple-design requests receive a complete quote, including any additional artwork work. They do not use the price of a single design.
Banding groups a print run into counted bundles for distribution. Classic flyers offer requests for bundles of 50, 100 or 250. It is quoted as part of the complete specification rather than silently included in an unbanded price.
For ordinary flat flyers, supply a CMYK PDF with 3mm bleed on every side, fonts embedded or outlined and images at 300dpi at their printed size. Keep important content at least 5mm inside the trim where practical. Specialty products use their own templates.
Bleed extends backgrounds beyond the finished edge so small trimming variations do not leave an unwanted white line. An A5 flyer is 148 × 210mm finished; adding 3mm bleed to each edge makes the artwork area 154 × 216mm.
You can prepare artwork in Canva and export a suitable print PDF with the required bleed. A JPEG may be useful as a design reference, but it does not automatically meet print requirements. Send what you have if you are unsure.
Use images that remain sharp at the intended print size. Aim for 300dpi for ordinary flyer artwork. Enlarging a small image or screenshot does not create the detail needed for a crisp printed result.
Choose Print my finished artwork if you have a print-ready PDF. Choose Set up my supplied logo & text if you need one simple layout from final content you provide. Choose Dan designs it for me for an original layout within the stated design scope. New logos and extra versions are separate.
The production service, proof approval and delivery destination all affect timing. Design time comes before production. Tell Dan your required date before ordering; he will confirm the current schedule. Saver, Standard and Express are production options, not guaranteed arrival dates.
Some classic A4/A5 configurations on 130gsm gloss or 170gsm silk have a same-day production option, subject to quantity, cutoff and print-ready artwork. Ask before ordering. Same-day printing does not mean same-day delivery.
An online price applies to the exact paper, size, finish, sides, quantity and artwork service shown. Other combinations, multiple designs, special finishes, deadlines or destinations need a complete price before payment. Your selected specification is carried into the enquiry.
Byhorn is not VAT registered, so no VAT is added to the displayed customer price. Supported online packages include ordinary UK mainland delivery. Other destinations and specifications are confirmed in the quote.
Ask Dan about a perforated ticket specification. Perforation is not included in an ordinary flyer order. State the size, quantity, perforation position and whether numbering or other finishing is required.
There is no automatic price-match promise. Dan can review a like-for-like specification and explain the complete Byhorn price, artwork support and delivery terms before you decide.
Start with one clear message and a clear next step. Give the headline, offer and contact details room to breathe, then choose paper and finishing that suit the audience. Dan can help turn your final wording and images into a practical layout.
