Clear terms.
Better projects.

These terms cover Byhorn Design services, website hosting and print orders. Your written order confirms the specific scope and dates. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

1. Your order and contact

Byhorn Design is operated by Daniel Hornby. Email hello@byhorndesign.co.uk or call 07888 184298. For standard Print Shop products, choose your specification, review the displayed price and accept the print and cancellation terms to pay online. No prior order confirmation or manual approval is needed to purchase. Print-only includes a standard file check; logo setup includes one layout and one revision using your supplied usable logo and final text; design packages include the stated scope and two revision rounds. New logo design and work outside that scope are quoted separately. After successful payment, the confirmation page provides your order reference and an email link for supplying artwork or a design brief. Artwork checks and proof approval take place before printing. For bespoke projects and separately agreed services, your written order supplies the business correspondence address, specification, total price, included revisions, delivery or start date and any third-party costs before payment. An enquiry is not a confirmed order. Keep your order and these terms for your records.

2. Prices and payments

Prices are in pounds sterling. No VAT is added by Byhorn while not VAT registered. Fixed print prices include standard mainland delivery for the supported postcode areas shown at checkout. Remote postcodes, islands and courier upgrades need a separate quote before payment. Additional services and non-standard delivery require a quote agreed before payment. One-off online checkout charges the full displayed amount once.

Monthly arrangements require a written fixed-price agreement. This states each payment, payment date, number of payments and total. Instalments add no interest or administration fee and finish when the agreed total has been paid. They do not renew automatically. For larger print, clothing and signage projects, the upfront payment must cover the full supplier cost before ordering. The remaining balance, instalment dates and delivery timing are confirmed in writing. Small jobs normally use one-off payment. Custom projects cannot be paid by selecting an unrelated package.

3. Design, revisions and delivery

Supply accurate copy, logos and images that you are entitled to use. You remain responsible for factual claims, contact details and approval of spelling and layout. We agree a schedule once the brief and content are complete. Delayed content or feedback may move that schedule; any revised date is discussed with you. A revision round is one consolidated set of changes within the agreed brief. New directions, additional pages and extra revisions are quoted separately before work proceeds.

4. Print proofs and production

Check dimensions, quantity, paper, finish, text, contact details, positioning and colour before approving the proof in writing. For standard one-off orders, printing begins after cleared full payment and approval. For an expressly agreed larger-project plan, ordering begins only after the supplier-covering upfront payment and proof approval. Printed colours can vary from screens; proofs are not a guarantee of exact screen colour. Tell us about critical colour requirements before ordering. Standard production and delivery estimates are confirmed in your order; special deadlines must be accepted expressly.

Once approved work has entered production, customer-requested changes or cancellation may incur agreed, unavoidable production costs. This does not remove your rights where goods are faulty, misdescribed or printed differently from the approved specification. Contact Dan promptly with the order reference and photographs of a problem so a remedy can be arranged.

Magnetic vehicle signs

Magnetic vehicle signs are bespoke products sized and shaped to suit usable flat ferrous steel vehicle panels. Standard Rear, Sides and Sides + Rear packages include custom sizing within their stated total coverage allowances and UK mainland delivery. Work outside those allowances or non-standard delivery is quoted separately. If requirements exceed the purchased allowance, Byhorn will contact you before production; no extra charge is made without agreement. You are responsible for checking the intended panel with a household magnet and confirming that it is reasonably flat and large enough. Aluminium, plastic, composite or heavily curved panels may be unsuitable. Apply signs only to clean, dry, sound paintwork; keep both surfaces clean, remove periodically for cleaning and store flat. Do not apply to damaged or newly painted surfaces. Additional panels, highly complex shapes and oversized work require a custom quote.

5. Websites, hosting and care

Your order specifies the page count, functionality, content responsibilities, revisions, launch date, hosting period and maintenance allowance. Hosting is managed through Byhorn using third-party infrastructure. Reasonable care is taken to maintain service; continuous availability is not guaranteed. We will communicate material outages and take reasonable steps to restore service. We do not guarantee rankings, sales or traffic.

The £59 and £79 monthly website packages each have a 12-month minimum term and require 12 payments, totalling £708 and £948 respectively. They include the agreed website and 12 months of hosting, plus up to 30 minutes of changes to existing content per month, with no rollover. New functionality, redesign, domain renewals, paid licences and email hosting are excluded unless listed in your order. The hosting start and expiry dates are confirmed in writing. Hosting after that term is a separate agreement, at £19/month or £190/year, with content changes quoted separately; it is not automatically renewed by the design plan.

You can cancel a separately agreed rolling hosting service with 30 days’ notice by email. Request transfer before expiry. Once all agreed design fees are paid, we provide the agreed website files and reasonable transfer information; paid third-party licences may require replacement. Domain ownership is agreed in writing and client-owned domains remain yours. Any additional migration work is quoted before it is undertaken. If hosting ends, the website may become unavailable; we agree an export and retention date with you in advance.

SEO and local visibility

Website packages include the agreed on-page and technical SEO foundations. Google Business Profile and directory setup or management are optional services, quoted separately. You retain primary ownership of your accounts and provide express permission for any management access. Your involvement may be needed for verification; third-party approval and publication are outside our control. Byhorn’s management fees are for our services; Google Business Profile itself is available without a charge from Google. Rankings, indexing dates, traffic and enquiry levels are not guaranteed. Any ongoing support agreement specifies tasks, reporting, fees and cancellation notice.

6. Ownership and licences

After full payment, you receive the agreed rights to the approved final bespoke design and the files listed in your package. Unused concepts and working files remain Byhorn’s unless expressly included. Fonts, stock assets, plugins and other third-party materials retain their own licence terms, which will be identified where applicable. You give permission to use materials supplied by you for your project. Portfolio display is agreed with you, especially for confidential work.

7. Consumer cancellation rights

If you contract as a consumer remotely, services normally have a 14-day cancellation period from the contract date. Email hello@byhorndesign.co.uk to cancel; give your name, order reference and contract date. You may use: “I wish to cancel my contract for [service], agreed on [date]. My name and address are [details].”

Work waits until that period ends unless you separately and expressly request an earlier start. If you cancel after requesting an early start, a proportionate charge may apply for services actually supplied, where legally permitted and explained before starting. The cancellation right is lost after full performance only with the legally required prior consent and acknowledgement. Agreeing to these terms alone does not request early performance or waive cancellation rights.

Goods made to your specification or clearly personalised, including bespoke printed cards and flyers, normally do not have the change-of-mind cancellation right. Faulty-goods rights still apply. For other goods, any applicable statutory cancellation period and return procedure will be stated in your order. Statutory refunds are made within the applicable legal deadline using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

8. Other cancellations and missed payments

For business orders or after an applicable cooling-off period, cancellation is assessed against work already completed and agreed non-recoverable costs. We explain the calculation and refund any unearned balance; cancellation does not automatically make every future instalment payable. Email Dan to cancel a monthly arrangement so remaining collections can be stopped or adjusted. A refund alone does not confirm that future collections have stopped.

If a payment fails, we contact you to resolve it and may pause further work or production while overdue amounts remain unpaid, after reasonable notice. We agree any website suspension and export arrangements in advance where practicable. If Byhorn cannot provide the agreed service, we discuss a remedy or refund for the unprovided part.

9. Problems and responsibility

Contact Dan with your reference and the outcome you are seeking. We aim to acknowledge complaints within five working days and resolve them promptly. Services will be supplied with reasonable care and skill. Nothing excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded. Your statutory consumer rights are not restricted.

10. Personal information

We use enquiry and order details to provide services, manage payments, delivery and customer support, and retain necessary accounting records. Payment information is processed by Stripe; relevant order and delivery information is shared with print fulfilment providers and hosting suppliers where necessary. We do not sell customer details. Contact hello@byhorndesign.co.uk for information about your data or to exercise applicable data rights.

11. Changes and applicable law

The terms supplied when you accept your order apply to that order. Later website changes do not retrospectively change it. Agreements are governed by the law of England and Wales, without removing a consumer’s mandatory local protections or right to use the courts available to them.
