From the initial idea through to the finished design, the attention to detail, creativity and quality were exceptional. The finished car looks fantastic and has received so many positive comments.
01 / The story
Colour with a purpose.
Chatsbrook had loaned a MINI to support the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital charity during the pandemic. The roof design competition invited ideas to give the car a bright new look. My entry used flowing rainbow bands and transport silhouettes across the roof, and was selected from 36 entries.
Norfolk Chambers covered the winning design and the work the car had already done: 137 runs covering more than 437 miles, delivering treatments for over 2,220 patients. The article also reports £837 raised for NNUH Charity. Those figures describe the car’s charity activity and fundraising, not results attributed to the artwork.
02 / THE FINISHED ROOF
The design up close.
Photographs taken when I saw the finished MINI at Norwich University Hospital, showing how the artwork, transport imagery and colour bands worked across the installed wrap.

Cars, marine, haulage and renewable energy integrated into the roof design.

The transport imagery works around the MINI’s roof antenna and existing contours.

Flowing bands carry the design across the curved roof surface.

Reflections and surface detail from the installed vinyl.
